Lodging ~ The fall can be a little cold, so we usually stay at a hotel durning this time.

  • White Mountain Hotel ~ year round, views of Cathedral Ledge, great Sunday Brunch & Friday Seafood Buffet.  The food is excellent in the restaurant, pub & room service.  We usually get a suite for the space, price is very reasonable.
  • Mount Washington Hotel ~ year round, views of Bretton Woods & Mount Washington.  Full service Omni Hotel & Resort.  Golf in summer, fall and spring.  X Country skiing and horse drawn sleigh rides in winter.
  • Red Jacket Inn ~ there is an indoor water park & is located in the center of North Conway.  The kids love the waterpark & so do the adults!  The Red Jacket has a restaurant which makes for easy dinning, including a great Sunday brunch!

Hi there. NOt sure if you still check this, but I’d like to know what kind of snow there is HOPEFULLY …. at the end of November. We are coming for a day and it’s my Texan husband’s first time in the NH mountains! I’m a NH native, but haven’t been home in over 20 years. . . What MUST we do while there???

    Hi Julie!

Snow at the end of November is possible, you just never know! ;) There would be snow on some of the ski mountains, most of which open before or around Thanksgiving! If you will be in/near North Conway, you could take a drive to the Mount Washington Hotel! There are views of Mount Washington, Bretton Woods is across the street & it is a scenic drive along Rt 302. If there is snow on the ground & it has been cold, a great spot to check out Nestlenook Farm & Resort in Jackson, NH! It is a beautiful spot in Winter, with Ice Skating & Sleigh Rides!

I hope you & your husband have a wonderful time visiting the East Coast & NH!!
